Job Description
Gastroenterologist: Syracuse Gastroenterological Associates, P.C. is a thriving physician owned single specialty practice in Syracuse, New York. Our care team of experienced gastroenterological professionals includes six specialty licensed physicians, two physician assistants and a nurse practitioner. Our practice operates out of two main office locations and performs many of its procedures in our physician owned outpatient ambulatory surgery center adjoined to the primary office. In addition, our physicians also have privileges at a large private hospital in close proximity to our office as well as a rural critical-access community hospital. Combining state-of-the-art technology with patient-centered medical care, we pride ourselves with providing the highest level of comprehensive gastrointestinal care for our patients in central New York.
Requirements: Board certified (or board eligible) fellowship-trained physician licensed in gastroenterologist, eligible to practice medicine in New York State. Experience in performing specialty related procedures including panendoscopy, esophageal dilation, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy. Experience in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and/or small bowel capsule endoscopy a plus. Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation requirements. Ability to provide high-quality compassionate care to a diverse patient population in multiple care settings. Excellent oral and written communication skills to coordinate care with patients, internal practice staff members and outside collaborative practice networks. Desire to be a life-long learner and to stay abreast of changes in technologies and best treatment techniques.
