Eliza Coffee Memorial is seeking an outstanding Gastroenterology candidate to establish practice in northwest Alabama. Advanced procedure skills, including ERCP a plus. The opportunity exists for qualified candidates to be employed by the UAB Health Services Foundation (UAB Medicine) and to be associated with a prestigious academic medical center while living and working in Florence, Alabama.
The group is currently comprised of two Gastroenterologists and two nurse practitioners. This is a great opportunity to build a successful practice quickly as one of the partners is looking to retire. Consultation only call is shared at 1:3 or better. The night call is light, and they currently come in less than once per month for a food bolus. Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital (ECM) has a strong Hospitalist group in place to admit patients.
After a first year salary guarantee, Tennessee Valley Gastroenterology can offer a partnership option. The overhead is very low which makes the practice especially inviting. There is room in the area to grow the practice significantly. ERCP skills would be useful, but not required. An excellent recruitment package is available, including a generous first year salary guarantee, sign-on bonus, relocation allowance, CME, and medical education loan repayment assistance.
ECM is the largest, most comprehensive medical facility in northwest Alabama, south central Tennessee and northeast Mississippi and is growing. They provide a highly efficient endoscopy suite with dedicated staff. ECM is currently building North Alabama Medical Center, a brand new 280-bed hospital to be completed by December 2018. The newly designed 5 room endoscopy suite has a dedicated fluoro room for ERCP.
